Occupying the area of the 8th arrondissement between the Seine and the avenue des Champs Elysées, this is another of Paris’s most exclusive neighbourhoods. What’s surely the world’s most famous street is given over to flagship branches of the world’s most famous shops and brands. And the grand Haussmanian buildings in the streets to the south are home to the headquarters or Paris offices of many large, international corporations. But there are lovely apartments to be had here too: elegant, light and well-proportioned, many with high-ceilings and spacious rooms. If you are looking for a bargain however, you should probably look elsewhere. Even a studio or modest one-bedroom apartment will be expensive here.
