Père Lachaise cemetery, spread across a hillside that covers over a hundred acres, is the green lung of the 20th arrondissement. The cemetery was opened by Napoleon, and it gave its name to the area and led to its development. The Gambetta neighbourhood is the chic area, whereas the trendy side is adjacent to the 11th.
