A suburb in the north-west of Paris, Neuilly-sur-Seine adjoins both the 16th arrondissement and the vast Bois de Boulogne. It’s barely 7 kilometres from the centre of the city, but it seems a world away, which explains why so many wealthy Parisians choose to live here. There are numerous parks; distinguished and grand public buildings from the 19th century; and some lovely, luxurious homes, many with large gardens. There are all the amenities in the way of shopping, restaurants and suchlike that you’d expect in so prosperous a residential area, and there are good connections to the centre of Paris as well, which makes daily commuting a convenient possibility.
