In the 19th century, the former village of Vaugirard produced one of Paris’ most calm and residential neighbourhoods. Niched between the Mairie of the 15th and the Porte de Versailles, there is a mix of Haussmann, neo-Gothic and 1930s architecture, with modern, colourful buildings of the contemporary period.
