Perhaps the most glamorous neighbourhood in the already very glamorous 16th arrondissement, the Trocadéro is just across the Seine from the Eiffel Tower. There are more museums clustered together here than in any other part of Paris, among them the Cité de l’Architecture; the Musée de l’Homme; the Musée Marine; and the Musée National des Arts Asiatiques. The area also plays host to various embassies and the headquarters of major companies. Accommodation-wise, this is one of the most expensive and sought-after parts of Paris and it’s easy to see why. There are some gorgeous apartment buildings along the lovely wide, tree-lined boulevards, and there are even grand houses with their own gardens here. The good schools are another attraction for families with children and the area's within very easy reach of the centre of Paris.
